In this week’s Style Session, I thought it would be fun to share some accessories that I am eyeing with my head and heart, but rebuking with my pockets. In other words, this post could be thought of as the ‘can’t afford this right now’ style wishlist. We all do it. We see a hot editorial or find ourselves scrolling through the high-end department store websites. Before you know it, there’s 8 items in your bag and the total would make any accountant give you the side-eye. However, there’s nothing wrong with dreaming and putting it into the atmosphere. See what’s in my shopping cart.

- David Yurman Thoroughbred 25mm Stainless Steel Quartz with Diamond Bezel & Gold
I’ve been a David Yurman fan for years now! I can instantly recognize one of his authentic pieces and always find myself complementing the lady who wears his jewelry. Any of his pieces are an investment, but says a lot about a woman. It says she likes fine things. There’s a simplistic elegance about her. When I spotted this watch, I sighed and dared to dream (lol). There was a time when I didn’t care for silver/gold toned jewelry, but as the years flew by and my own style evolved, I recognized the benefits of have dual toned jewels. They actually stand out and can complement lots of looks. I loved the bezel in this watch and David’s signature style woven into the piece. This would easily be a watch I could wear daily.
- Jimmy Choo Women’s Miranda 100 Mixed-Media Color-Block High-Heel Sandals
Who doesn’t love a Jimmy Choo heel? Every time I see a pair, I think of my spirit animal, the fictional Carrie Bradshaw and how the right pair of heels would stop her in her tracks as she walked along the New York streets. As you can tell, I love pieces that aren’t traditional and can be used in various looks. The structural heel on this sandal is fun and the mix of patent leather and satin is genius!!!
You know how sometimes a massive group of people hype up a product, restaurant, person, or experience, and when you indulge in that same experience, you are completely let down? What about how from then on, you look at every review with a major squint in your eye? For some reason, in my heart of hearts, I feel that every review of women completely gushing over La Mer moisturizing cream is telling the TRUTH! I just know it. Some people have been known to say that they couldn’t justify paying so much for so little and that it couldn’t possibly make a difference in their skincare. Once they tried La Mer, they took back those words and are lifetime fans of the product. The product promises skin rejuvenation and renewal. I could use some of that and one day I hope to grab the biggest bottle of La Mer in sight!
- Saint Laurent Women’s Monogram Kate Toy Python Strap Wallet
I’ve professed my love for crossbody handbags on several occasions and this is no different. For some reason, I can’t stick with a black bag for long. I love picking up pewter grays, camels, prints, and even blush pinks. This piece is a showstopper with its metallic silver detail and the signature YSL logo on the front. Anyone that knows me knows I am NOT a fan of monogram everywhere. You could be a zillionaire and I’d still find it super tacky. I believe this handbag is designed tastefully and suits my personality.
- Effy Novelty 14K Gold Blue & White Diamond Turtle Pendant
I really don’t remember when I became so fascinated with turtles. I’m sure if I took the time to reflect, that the very moment would pop up in my mind. Either way, seeing a turtle really brings an instant smile to my face. I always told myself that I would find a beautiful piece of jewelry like a diamond turtle pin, charm bracelet, or necklace. When I saw this one, I was over the moon! It is so beautiful and blue is one of my favorite colors.
